Do I need Spotify Premium?
+Yes. The queue API requires Premium on the DJ account. One thing to know: Spotify Premium is licensed for personal, non-commercial use, so Mr. DJ is built for private events — house parties, birthdays, weddings, get-togethers. For commercial settings (bars, clubs, restaurants, business events), you'll want a business music service like Soundtrack Your Brand. Guests don't need a Spotify account at all.
Do guests need an account?
+No. They scan a QR, type their pick, and tap send. Mr. DJ identifies them with a signed cookie + device fingerprint, all anonymous.
Can I limit how many requests per guest?
+Yes. Defaults to 3 per 30 minutes per guest, fully configurable per event.
What about explicit content?
+Toggle the explicit filter per event. Spotify's explicit flag is enforced before tracks even hit your dashboard.
Can I use Mr. DJ for multiple events?
